Amarena Cherries in Syrup
These luscious, intensely flavorful Fabbri Amarena cherries are from the Emilia-Romagna Region of Italy. Produced from local wild cherries that are particularly fleshy, they develop a flavor that is both sweet and scrumptiously bitter (Amare in Italian). The cherries are preserved in a rich syrup made from the juice of the same fruit. Perfect for topping gelato or cheesecake, and great with savory dishes such as Duckling & Pork Roast, or with aged Sheep’s Milk Cheeses like Moliterno, Manchego, P’tit Basque or Triple-Cremes like St. Andre.
