Cheese
Soignon Buche
Our hearts and taste buds have been captivated by cheese, but not just any cheese — Soignon Goat Buche. This French cheese is a forever best-seller and a favorite among goat cheese enthusiasts. Crafted in Fance, Soignon uses the finest goat milk sourced exclusively from local farms. The cheese is aged for about 10 days in which it develops its characteristic downy white rind, adding a touch of earthiness to its creamy interior. The center of the cheese has a chalky yet melt-in-the-mouth texture, revealing hints of citrus and fresh herbs, which come from the natural diet of the goats.
Overall, the cheese offers a perfect balance of subtle earthy undertones, creamy richness, and tangy elements. It pairs wonderfully with fresh fruits such as figs and pears, and it makes an excellent choice for spreading on bread or crackers. For wine enthusiasts, we recommend pairing Soignon Goat Buche with light-bodied white wines, such as Sauvignon Blanc.
Honorable Mentions
The Ricotta & Cheese Factory Whipped Sheep Ricotta
A ricotta unlike any other on the market! The Ricotta Cheese & Factory’s Whipped Ricotta is made with sheep’s milk – more specifically, the whey of Sardinian sheep’s milk. The whey is imported into the U.S. to allow the production to happen domestically: this means you’re always enjoying a freshly made product. The ricotta is sweet and flavorful, with a light, extra-creamy texture, making it an ideal spread. It’s also a fantastic cooking ingredient: add it to pancake batter to produce extra fluffy pancakes or dollop it in your favorite pasta sauces.
Central Goat Moliterno Prepack
The fantastic Sardinian cheesemakers at Central decided to experiment with goat milk – the result was delicious Moliterno Bianco, also known as Goat Moliterno. This cheese has a relatively light color rind and a pale white paste. Fun Fact: Unlike cows or sheep, goats convert all the golden carotene they ingests into vitamin A, hence the cheese’s bright white color. The cheese itself is creamy yet slightly crumbly, with a rich, nutty, and earthy flavor. Although we’ve carried their wheels for quite some time, this year we added convenient prepacks to our product catalog, making you and your shoppers’ lives easier!
Artikaas Holy Sheep
Nutty, sweet, and decadent, a perfect addition to our cheese roster. This rich aged gouda is crafted with pure sheep’s milk from farms in Holland. Aged for over 9 months, Artikaas Holy Sheep offers a subtle nutty sweetness with notes of dry hay and a clean pastoral aroma. Its pale creamy paste melts in the mouth, while being studded with pleasant crunchy crystals. Enjoy it in a hot panini, grated over veggies, or snack on it with a crisp apple or glass of chardonnay.
Cured Meats
Negroni Pre-Sliced Line
Negroni, a trusted name in deli meats and charcuterie since 1907, has long been part of our portfolio, featuring products such as full prosciutto legs, coppa, and mortadella. We were particularly drawn to their recently introduced pre-sliced line. The full forms of prosciutto and salami are crafted in Italy, then shipped to the U.S., where they undergo expert slicing at Negroni’s brand new U.S. facility. Given the consistent quality and taste that Negroni delivers, we eagerly added this line to our portfolio.
These pre-sliced packages are sure to stand out thanks to their look. The salumi is not only sliced extra thin, but also draped in beautiful “waves”. The slices separate effortlessly and can be plopped right onto a charcuterie and cheese board. Plus, we’re also carrying their salumi trios. These packs offer the very best of Negroni in one convenient tray. Perfect for your shoppers to pick up for a picnic or snack!
Honorable Mentions
Del Duca Line
The products your shoppers love, now under a new brand. This year, Daniele underwent a brand relaunch, adopting the new name “Del Duca”. The transformation included a new logo and updated packaging featuring fresher colors and a simpler font. But fear not, while the appearance has changed, the product inside still upholds its excellent quality and craftsmanship.
Veroni Spanish Tapas
This year, we gladly added Veroni’s Taste of Europe line into our portfolio. Their Spanish Tapas feature thinly sliced Serrano Ham and Chorizo imported from Spain. Your shoppers can choose between the two cured meats or go for a delicious combination of both. Plus, they can enjoy extra freshness as Veroni slices the meat in their U.S. based facility!
Grocery
Galvanina Sparkling Water
You might have seen their beautiful embossed glass bottles (and may have even used them as table décor). But what’s inside is even better. Hailing from Rimini, Galvanina has been bottling mineral water from three springs for over a century: Galvanina, San Giuliano and Val di Meti.
If you haven’t experienced their refreshing mineral water, you’ve likely tasted their organic sodas and teas. We currently carry a variety of flavors such as Blood Orange, Ginger Beer, Green Tea with Lemon, and more. Each is refreshingly delicious and free of any artificial flavors or colors!
While the iconic embossed glass bottles are a hit, what if your customers prefer a more convenient and lightweight option? This year, we added 3 new SKUs to this line: 3 Sparkling Mineral Waters, including lemon and lime flavors, all in convenient recyclable plastic bottles.
Mancini is Back!
Mancini is a family-owned and operated company founded by Antonio Mancini, an Italian immigrant. Since 1922, Mancini Packing Company has focused on the production of peppers. The company continued to grow strong and embraced some challenges along the way. The recent pandemic caused some difficulties for the company, causing it to halt operation in March 2022. Luckily, the brand was revived and this year we were excited to see their products back in our warehouse… Including a brand new item – Sauteed Onions: lightly caramelized onion bits that can be used as a culinary shortcut, or a delicious spread.
We are now carrying 4 SKUs:
Honorable Mentions
Vantia Chopped Calabrian Chili Peppers
This year we introduced La “Bomba” di Vantia! These sizzling chili peppers hail from Calabria, situated in the southern tip of Italy (in the “toe” of the Italian boot). They have a distinctive fiery, rich and slightly smoky flavor profile. These peppers are ready-to-go, and pre-chopped to make it easier to enjoy on pizzas, flatbreads, and more.
We’re glad to say this spicy sensation has been a hit since its launch in August!
Vantia Cornichons
Introducing Vantia Cornichons! These French-style gherkins are pickled in vinegar and have a crisp texture. They are tangy and slightly sweet, making them the ideal garnish to serve with classic charcuterie items. Also perfect for cooking, chop them and add to beef stroganoff, steak tartare, or even sandwiches.
Pataro Truffle Gnocchi
Another honorable mention is Pataro Truffle Gnocchi. If you haven’t tried them yet, you’re missing out! Pataro Gnocchi are crafted in Italy, the birthplace of this delightful dish. Naturally, gluten-free, these plump gnocchis are filled with a savory cheese blend and an intense black truffle aroma. The best part? They’re super easy and quick to prepare – simply boil for 2 minutes or steam in a couple of tablespoons of water. Toss them in a light cream sauce or in browned butter and you have a delicious meal.
Whether it be in cheese and cured meats or the grocery sector, our commitment goes beyond keeping up with the latest food trends – we’re setting new standards.
