Whether it’s a holiday, an anniversary, or your pet’s birthday, there’s always one overlooked ingredient that ties a celebration together. From festive December through romantic February, shoppers are hunting for something that whispers elegance and sparks a little joy- and that’s where Maraschino Cherries shine!
Crafting Maraschino Cherries is a slow and intentional process that’s rooted in traditional Italian techniques. Each step is designed to preserve and accentuate the fruit’s natural texture and flavor. Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherries bring together Italian craftsmanship, culinary heritage, and quality selected Marasca cherries.
Handcrafted in Naples by a fourth-generation family of cherry producers, these all-natural cherries begin with the prized Marasca varietal, the true authentic maraschino cherry. Unlike the smaller and slightly more bitter Amarena type, Marasca cherries are naturally sweeter, juicier, and known for their signature “pop.”

- Cherry Selection and Washing
Marasca cherries are carefully selected at peak ripeness and washed for purity. - Slow Candied Process
The cherries undergo a gentle, controlled candied process in temperature-regulated tanks to preserve their integrity. - Maturation in Juice
The cherries mature in natural Marasca juice for more than two weeks, allowing them to absorb flavor gradually and evenly. - Resting Period
Once fully candied, the cherries rest for seven days. This step stabilizes the texture and develops their deep ruby syrup. - Hand-Packing
The cherries are hand-packed and sealed to lock in flavor and freshness, ensuring consistent quality in every jar.

The modern identity of Hotel Starlino draws inspiration from its President, Heather Zamanian. Her first trip to the Amalfi Coast with her husband, Kaveh Zamanian, a Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame Whiskey Maker and the founder of Rabbit Hole Distillery, left a lasting imprint. It was her first time in Italy, and it was on that coastline that Kaveh proposed, shaping a memory she carried with her for years. The warmth, beauty, and romantic pace of life stayed with her, along with the joy of lingering over food and drink and the belief that time is the most luxurious gift.
Years later, when she discovered Hotel Starlino, that feeling returned immediately. The brand’s Italian roots, its sense of hospitality, and its devotion to craftsmanship echoed everything she cherished about that trip. Heather stepped in to help guide the brand’s evolution, bringing forward her vision of romance, intention, and the art of savoring the moment.
Today, Hotel Starlino Maraschino Cherries reflects that philosophy with a touch of romance, making them a beautiful addition to the upcoming Valentine’s season. Their deep red color and lush syrup pair naturally with mascarpone, burrata, panna cotta, dark chocolate, or classic cocktails. Packaged in glass jars with vintage Italian grand hotel–inspired labels also makes them a thoughtful gourmet gift and a small taste of La Dolce Vita. A quality product inside and out, Starlino cherries are a colorful addition that would catch any customer’s eye!
