Another year has gone by – we can hardly believe we’re coming up on our 94th anniversary in business! Although we’re nearly one century old, we are not resting on our laurels. In 2020, let’s talk about some outside-the-box solutions we’ve developed for you to have your best year ever.
Custom signage for your store
As the rise of E-commerce looms large, brick-and-mortar stores have to fight to keep customers engaged. A broad product selection and attractive prices are paramount, but so is the experience your store offers. Bright, colorful signage can capture the attention of your shoppers and make them spend more time in your establishment.Think in 3D – banners can be hung from the ceiling, foam boards mounted on walls … and don’t forget floor stickers! We can help you craft signage for your store, reach out to your rep to learn more.
Product Education for the win
Shoppers now expect stores to have dozens of different specialty cheeses on display. While this colorful array of goods is certainly alluring, it can also scare shoppers away, or push them to pick the same cheese at every visit. An educated cheese monger can help guide purchases, but if that extra charge on the payroll isn’t in the cards, shelf talkers make a solid alternative. Packed full of information, little laminated cards can pique your customers’ interest just enough for them to put a new cheese in their cart. Musco Food has laminated shelf talkers for every cheese in its portfolio!
Knowledgeable, passionate staff
In any business, engaged, knowledgeable employees are the key to success – but this is especially true in retail. Knowledge can promote sales, and help with your bottom line: a deli employee talking up a delicious salami can lead to another sale, while one who knows his way around a prosciutto can ensure no scrap of product goes to waste. Our on-staff chef, Josh Arcaro, can provide free on-site training for your staff, and can lead them through tours and classes in our very own warehouse. You can contact him directly at josha@muscofood.com.
What about online?
Building an online presence can be a daunting task, with dozens of competing priorities: building a website, running an eCommerce store, posting on social media channels, and more. Having just revamped our online presence ourselves, we are well equipped to help you. We can provide you with high res digital assets for all the items we carry, along with attractive beauty shots, videos, and product descriptions – everything you need to feature your items online! We’re also launching a special Social Media 101 Kit next month – this simple guidebook will walk you through each social media channel at your disposal, and how to leverage it to boost your business.
And we aren’t forgetting new items …
This year, Musco Food launched nearly 150 new items – many of which are now happily settled in your refrigerated cases and shelves. In 2020, we will build upon the success of our pre-cut cheese program by adding new specialties, including Hispanic cheeses, butter, and more. In May, our buying team will be visiting Cibus, one of the largest food industry trade shows in the world. We’ll be sure to bring back some fantastic new products from Italy and beyond.
We are looking forward to another successful year partnering with our inspiring customer community. Happy New Year!
